Individual Therapy

Have you tried hard to change, yet found yourself returning to the same difficulties?

If so, this page is written for you.

Does this feel familiar?

  • Have you tried hard to change, yet found yourself returning to the same difficulties?
  • Do you understand your problems, yet still feel trapped by them?
  • Have previous efforts helped, but not reached the heart of what is happening?
  • Does the same pattern keep returning, regardless of how much effort you apply?

If any of those questions landed, you are not alone and you are not broken.

Most people who come to me have already tried. They have received counselling, therapy, medication, coaching, self-help programmes, recovery support, or psychiatric input. Much of that help may have been valuable. Yet the same problem keeps returning.

That is not evidence of failure. It is evidence that the approach being taken has not yet reached the root of the difficulty.

That root is where this work begins.

What looked like failure was actually information. Not proof that you were broken. Not proof that you lacked willpower. Evidence that the approach had not yet reached the root.

What this work offers

Not another method to try. A different place to begin.

Diction Resolution Therapy does not begin with your diagnosis, your history, or a list of techniques. It begins with a question: where exactly does your problem-solving get stuck?

Most approaches address the behaviour. DRT works at the point before behaviour, at the level of inner language, meaning, and the clarity of will. As confusion reduces, patterns become clearer. What appears to be a collection of separate problems often reveals a single underlying thread.

The aim is not to analyse you. It is to help life become more transparent.

People come to this work with:

  • Alcohol, substances, painkillers and gambling
  • Food, sugar, and compulsive patterns around eating
  • Work compulsions and burnout cycles
  • Anxiety and depression tied to loss of purpose
  • Recovery that has stalled or keeps relapsing
  • Religious disorientation and cross-cultural confusion
  • A sense of meaning that has gone missing

If your difficulty is not on this list, it may still be the right place. The conversation will clarify that.
